Terms of use
The rules that govern the use of BManager.
1. Provider and scope of the service
BManager is operated by Mgr. Patrik Porubän. BManager is a tool for personal tracking of income, expenses, budgets and savings goals.
BManager is not a financial or investment service. It gives no financial advice, recommends or arranges no investments and does not manage your money. It is not accounting or tax records either. Every number in the app is only an overview of the data you entered yourself — verify it before making any decision.
2. User account
- The service is intended for people at least 16 years old. By registering you confirm that you meet this condition.
- The account is personal. Do not give your credentials to anyone and do not share the account.
- Provide a valid email address when registering — it is used to confirm the account and to reset your password.
- You are responsible for activity carried out under your account. If you suspect misuse, change your password immediately and check the activity overview in the Security section.
- We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
3. Rules of use
When using the app you undertake not to:
- attempt unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data,
- burden the service with automated requests beyond ordinary use, harvest its content in bulk, or circumvent the API rate limit,
- disrupt the security or availability of the service, or test security techniques against it without our prior written consent,
- create accounts automatically, or create another account after the original one was blocked,
- attempt to reverse engineer the app or circumvent its technical restrictions,
- store content in the app that breaks the law, or use it to keep records about other people without their knowledge.
If you find a security flaw, we would appreciate hearing about it at our contact email before you make it public.
4. API, mobile app and connected applications
Besides the web, the service is available through a mobile app and through an API to which you can connect your own tools, including AI assistants. For those the following applies:
- Access tokens are as sensitive as your password — do not publish them and do not keep them in shared storage.
- Connecting a third-party application gives it access to your data to the extent you approve on the confirmation screen. We are not responsible for what that application does with the data — connect only one you trust.
- You can revoke a connection at any time in the Security section.
- The API has a limited number of calls per minute. Circumventing that limit is not permitted.
- The API may change. We try to announce substantial changes in advance, but we guarantee neither its stability nor backward compatibility.
5. Your data and content
The data you enter into the app stays yours. We claim no rights to it beyond what is necessary to run the service. You can download it at any time in a machine-readable format. How personal data is handled is described in detail in the Privacy Policy.
6. Rights to the application
The application itself — its source code, design, texts and name — remains our intellectual property. By registering you obtain a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive right to use the app for your own purposes for as long as your account exists. You obtain no ownership or licence rights beyond that use.
7. Availability and development status
The app is under development. Features may change, be added or removed, may contain bugs, and in exceptional cases data may be lost. You use it aware of that state.
The service is provided "as is" and without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We aim for smooth operation, but maintenance, updates or outages at our infrastructure provider may limit it temporarily. We will announce planned downtime in advance where circumstances allow. We guarantee no particular level of availability or response time.
8. Backups
The app offers both automatic and manual backups. Even so, we recommend keeping your own copy of an export — we are not liable for data loss caused by circumstances outside our control.
9. Liability
We are not liable for decisions you make based on the data shown in the app, nor for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit or data loss caused by circumstances outside our control. This does not affect consumer rights under the binding law of the Slovak Republic and the European Union that cannot be waived — in particular, liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and liability for personal injury cannot be excluded.
10. Suspending and blocking an account
If an account breaks these terms or endangers other users or the operation of the service, we may block its access temporarily or permanently. We do so mainly for:
- attempted unauthorised access to someone else's account or to data that is not yours,
- overloading the service or circumventing the API rate limit,
- storing content that breaks the law,
- conduct that harms other users or the operator,
- a reasonable suspicion that the account has been taken over by someone else — there, blocking protects your own data.
Blocking takes effect immediately and on all devices, including the mobile app and connected applications. Blocking does not delete your data.
When signing in you will see that the account has been blocked. On request we will tell you the reason for the block and how long it is expected to last at our contact email, and you can object to it there as well — we assess every objection and reply without undue delay. A temporary block ends on its own once the set period passes; a permanent one we lift if the reason turns out to be unfounded or ceases to apply.
If a block is in place and you want to download your data or close the account, write to us — the GDPR rights of access and erasure are not lost because of a block.
11. Operator access to accounts
To administer the service we keep an overview of accounts containing only the email address, the name entered in the profile, the registration date and the number of budgets and transactions. We need those counts to judge load and to spot accounts created automatically.
This overview contains no amounts, budget names, descriptions or the content of your records, and it does not allow signing into your account or browsing it. Only an operator account with an explicitly granted permission can reach the overview, and every action taken on another account is logged.
12. Termination
You can close your account at any time in the Data and privacy section. The operator may close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms; before doing so it will warn you and allow a reasonable period to download your data, unless security reasons prevent that. We may discontinue the whole service — in that case we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your data in time.
13. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. For a substantial change we raise the document version and ask you to accept it at your next sign-in. If you disagree with the change, you can close your account and download your data.
14. Governing law, dispute resolution and contact
The relationship is governed by the law of the Slovak Republic and the law of the European Union. For questions write to porubanpatrik@gmail.com — most misunderstandings can be settled with a single message.
If you are a consumer and are not satisfied with how your complaint was handled, you have the right to turn to an alternative dispute resolution body or to use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. This does not affect your right to go to court.
This is an informative translation. The Slovak wording is the binding one.
